Tenería Company is a traditional name in leather tanning.


Founded in 1939, it was recognized from the outset by its excellent leather shoe industry and saddlery.

At that time, the city of Orizaba, located between the cities of Veracruz and Mexico City., Was considered the most important industrial city in the country.


In 1978, under a new administration, begins a period of expansion and market growth.


In 2006 an additional plant is built to meet market demand.

Located in Ixtaczoquitlán, Veracruz, this new factory is inaugurated as on of the most modern in Latin America.

Currently most of Teneria Company´s production is exported to the United States and Europe.

Operating with the latest technology and developing significant growth, also means becoming a company of great social and environmental responsibility.


That’s why we promote and develop vegetable tanning, which generates a minimal environmental impact since most materials used are natural and biodegradable.


Through technology we optimize resources and consumption to further reduce any possible damage to the environment.


We are also co-founders of the Water Treatment Plant of Ixtaczoquitlán’s Industrial City, ensuring that development and operation of this plant always reach the highest levels of efficiency to maintain environmental balance and reduction in water consumption .
